About the NBA Stats Database

The stats database is the full NBA player table: every player, every season back to 1996-97, with more than 250 stats to choose from. Pick the columns you care about, sort by any of them, and filter the pool down to the players worth comparing — by position, team, minutes, games played, age, draft class, or a threshold on any stat in the table.

Every number carries its percentile rank against the qualified player pool for that season, so a value is never just a value: 24.1 points per game reads differently in 2004 than in 2025, and the badge tells you which. Percentiles are computed on total volume rather than the displayed data type, so the same players qualify whether you are looking at per game, per 75 possessions, or totals.

Presets cover the common questions — scoring, shooting, playmaking, defense, rebounding, shot zones, tracking, hustle, clutch, play types and on/off — and the custom builder lets you assemble any combination of columns and save it. The All-Time view pools multiple seasons into one leaderboard, either season by season or aggregated across a span, so you can ask who the best shooters of the last decade were rather than the best of one year.

Anything on screen can leave as an image: preview the table, pick the rows and columns you want, and export a shareable card stamped with the season and filters it covers.
